If you have anxiety about your dental treatment, we want you to know that you are not alone. Many patients come to Wright Dental Center because we provide personalized patient care for fearful patients.

Our gentle and expert team has a knack for putting anxious patients at ease. Not only is each member of our team hand-selected and expertly trained, but they are also kind and compassionate individuals who enjoy caring for our patients.

When our gentle touch is not enough to calm nervous patients, we also offer sedation dentistry in our Cincinnati, OH dental office.

How Sedation Dentistry Helps Dental Patients

  • Nitrous oxide – Our mildest form of sedation will take the edge off by creating a sense of well-being. Many people prefer this ultra-safe method of sedation because it eliminates the need for patients to have someone drive them to and from their appointment.
  • Oral sedation – Our moderate level of sedation relies on prescription medication to help you relax. We will perform a full medical history to determine the proper prescription and dose to keep you comfortable during your procedure. You will need someone to drive you home because of the residual effects of sedation. Most patients say they have few memories of their treatment, which patients with a fear of the dentist seem to enjoy.
  • IV sedation – Certain medical issues and surgical procedures might call for our highest level of sedation. A nurse anesthetist will adjust your sedation levels throughout your appointment to make sure you remain relaxed.

Like oral sedation, you will need someone to look after you after your appointment.
